Mike Goodridge is US editor of Screen International and oversees all US coverage. He was one of the architects of Screendaily.com, the title?s popular sister website, edits Screen?s print dailies at Berlin, Cannes, Toronto and AFM and is the chief US critic. He has been based in Los Angeles since 1997, but is a familiar figure on the international circuit and and frequently chairs industry panels and on-stage interviews as well as sitting on juries around the world.

In addition to his duties on Screen, he appears regularly on TV and writes on film for International titles such as The Times and The Evening Standard in the UK and El Mundo?s prestigious El Cultural section in Spain. He is currently vice president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and is a member of the Los Angeles Film Critics Association and FIPRESCI.

His first book Directing was published in 2002. It featured intensive interviews with 15 great living film-makers including Roman Polanski, Lars Von Trier and Pedro Almodovar.
